Announcing the 2019 Eagle Ford East Safety Day

Is your organization hunting for some safety training? You and your employees are invited to the 2019 Eagle Ford East Safety & Equipment Rodeo Roundup. This important event offers an opportunity to network with first responders, utility, pipeline, oil & gas, municipal, county, and construction personnel from across South Texas. This event includes demonstrations that are applicable to the general public, too, so you don’t need to be a first responder or a professional in the utility, pipeline, oil & gas, or construction fields to attend.

Safety Day Will Feature Each of the Following:

  • Hands-on equipment demonstrations
  • Free safety training
  • Free health screenings
  • BBQ by the GVEC Cook Team
  • The famous 8′ wood-fired pizza, baked on site by Dirt Road Cookers
  • Loads of door prizes that will be given away each hour on the hour

Your Hosts: GVEC, Texas 811 and Texas Gas Service

The 2019 Eagle Ford East Safety Day is event is held through collaboration by GVEC, Texas 811 and Texas Gas Service. We invite you to come out and join us for this free event!

Educating First Responders and the Public, Too

According to GVEC Senior Executive Manager of Compliance Bobby Christmas, Safety Day is critical to educating first responders and the public alike on both the importance of “call before you dig” and on safety around overhead and underground utility structures.

“In the last six years, we’ve seen huge increases in the number of underground electric and gas lines,” Christmas said. “This event is crucial in raising awareness of both the existence of these structures and how to safely navigate them.”

When is Safety Day? Where? What Time?
