You’ve undoubtedly heard about residential solar energy production. You may have even wondered whether it would be a worthwhile investment for your home. Maybe you’ve hesitated to consider it further because it sounds like a big project, and you’re not sure if it’s worth the hassle. Or maybe you’re just not sure how to “go solar.”

GVEC makes going solar simple and affordable. We guide you through the process from start to finish, and we’re there to answer any questions you have along the way. But if you’d still like to know more before seriously considering going solar, continue reading to gain a better understanding of the process.

Step 1: Free Consultation and Estimate

After you call to schedule an appointment, a GVEC Energy Solutions Specialist (ESS) or Solar Sales Specialist will meet with you for a free site evaluation. The Specialist will listen to your needs and expectations; determine where the most sun shines at your location; make recommendations according to the slope, direction and condition of your roof, or if pole or ground-mount offers a better option; explain the technical requirements of connecting to the electric grid and help you decide if a solar panel system is a good investment for you. They’ll also explain battery storage options and help you determine if pairing a solar panel system with Tesla Powerwall is suitable for your situation.

Once a customized solar panel system is designed, your GVEC Specialist will set up a follow up appointment to discuss the information with you and give you your quote.

Step 2: Make Your Decision

At this point, you’ll have a decision to make. We will answer any questions you may still have and go over financing options available to you. We understand the importance of providing our customers with all the information they need to help them make a well-informed decision.

Step 3: Installation

If you decide to purchase a solar panel system, we’ll take care of obtaining the necessary permits, homeowner association approvals and set up your installation appointment with you.

Installation typically takes one day. Our solar technicians will take care in making sure you understand the entire installation process, as well. Once your install is complete, they’ll give you the tools you need to easily monitor your energy production.
